First up, we've had a couple of doctor appointments in our house- one for me and one for Nathan. My OB appointment went well and we were able to hear the baby's heartbeat. The doctor said everything looks great and also that my thyroid levels are still in the normal range. We've just got to keep an eye on them since it is common for pregnant women who have thyroid disorders to be on 2-4 different prescription doses than when they are not pregnant. Nathan's check up went well, too. He is now 31 inches tall, putting him in the 85% in height, and 19 pounds, which leaves him in the 5% in weight. His head hadn't grown from the last time we were at the pediatricians, which means his percentile dropped from 62% to the 30%. Developmentally he is doing well, too. I've noticed just within the last week or so he has learned to do lots of new things such as throw blocks across the room. We will be seeing the urologist on the 16th of this month to check out his boy problem again and schedule surgery (he has a hypospadias). Also along what's new with Nathan is that he is FINALLY getting his 1st tooth! It's the bottom front, and I think both might actually be coming in, but I know for sure that 1 is starting to push it's way up!
Over the 4th of July weekend, Adam had a 4-day weekend so we drove down to Sacramento to visit his family. It was an extra special trip because Adam's oldest sister was visiting from Connecticut and I have never met any of her kids. I've only met her and her husband because they came to mine and Adam's wedding. While we were there, we visited Adam's friend and his wife and met their cute baby. We also went to a baseball game and watched the after-game firework show. It started out really hot for me and Nathan (Adam seemed hot, but ok) but eventually it cooled off enough to where we needed to wear a jacket or snuggle up in a blanket. Nathan also slept through all of the booming fireworks! Of course, I was holding him and somewhat covering his ears and rocking him while he slept, but he stayed asleep until we got back to Adam's parents' house and tried to put him in bed. Then on the 4th of July we spent the day at Adam's sisters house. Adam joined in on the kids' water fight, and ended up soaked! We had a yummy dinner then went outside for fireworks (which Nathan was awake for and loved to watch!). After our show we came back inside and made s'mores with peanut butter cups. We had a lot of fun and it was nice to get out of Rexburg for a little bit.
Then the last thing I can think of reporting is that Adam had is 25th birthday on Thursday. Nathan and I got him a green polo shirt, Bolt, and The Sandlot. We also had some friends over that night and had cake and ice cream, and then played games. I really wanted to make him an ice cream cake, but I didn't feel very well the day before and I was afraid it wouldn't have set/frozen in time. Thankfully Adam isn't too picky and anything with sugar is good in his book! (Except for chocolate! I don't get it!)
